Gate 08 · Downstream Review

You defined your features early, back at Gate 02, before you knew the tech stack, the UX, the schema, or the risks. Those later gates almost always turn up something that changes the feature list: a constraint in the schema, a flow in the UX, a mitigation from the risks. Without a step that feeds those insights back, your agent builds against a plan that’s quietly out of date.

That step is the Downstream Review. It re-checks your features against everything you’ve decided since, and surfaces the mismatches. It can add or adjust features, functionalities, and stories to close them, so the spec your agent reads matches the product you actually designed.

New screens the review adds show up flagged as pending review in the workspace list, with a count badge on Gate 08, until you’ve looked at them. If everything already lines up, the review says so and moves on.
